Rowe, Mary Lou, Portage, MI Passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo, of a sudden illness. Age 84. Mary Lou was born in Eaton Rapids, MI on March 29, 1931, the daughter of the late Roy and Harlinda Marti Gordier.
She was employed as a Registered Nurse for Leila Hospital in Battle Creek and later owned and operated Nelson Hardware in Portage. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. She enjoyed volunteering with hospice and Meals on Wheels. She was married to Robert Frank Rowe in 1953; he preceded her in death in 1979.
She is survived by six children, Bob Rowe, Ann Chris Giuliano, Mary Rowe, Bill Alan Angeloff Rowe, Jean Ed Truitt, and Jim Rowe; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother, Betsy Herman and Bill Gordier; many nieces and nephews; and dear family members Carol and Rick.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister, Tom Gordier, Jim Gordier, Bob Gordier, Kathleen McGrath, and Roy Gordier.
