Mary “Lu Lu” Ludwig, age 85, of Corwith passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Westview Care Center in Britt. Mary Louise Ludwig, the daughter of Frank and Julia (Schmitt) Meyer, was born on August 18, 1934 in Alta, Iowa. She graduated from Hays High School in 1952. After graduation, Mary Lou enrolled at Mankato Business College. On August 7, 1956, Mary Lou was united in marriage with Richard Ludwig in St. Benedict. Mary Lou devoted herself to raising her family. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America and volunteered her free time with hospice. Left to cherish Mary Lou’s memory is her husband of 63 years, Richard; children, Allen (Lori) Ludwig of Corwith, Glenda (Mike) Mueller of Iowa City, Ramon (Leslie) Ludwig of Algona and James (Jennifer) Ludwig of Wesley; grandchildren, Nathan (Kelli) Mueller of Solon, Matthew Mueller of Chicago, IL, Joseph Mueller of Coralville, Christopher (Emily) Ludwig of Wesley, Landon (JoHanna) Ludwig of Algona, Maggie Ludwig of Spencer, Samuel Ludwig of Algona and Nicholas, Katie and John Ludwig of Wesley and two great granddaughters, Eleanor and Amelia Andresen-Mueller. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Julia Meyer and mother and father-in-law, Jack and Agnes Ludwig.
