Mary Lou Hertzner, 65, of Utica, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
Mary Lou was born on December 3, 1955 in Chicago to Harold and Patsy (Todd) Shartzer. She was a CNA and worked at the Ottawa Pavilion. Mary married David W. Hertzner, Jr., on July 3, 1975 in Pontiac, IL. Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, David; three children, Tracy (Jordan) Welling of Ladd, Sarah Hertzner of Peru, and David (Sarah) Hertzner of Oglesby; nine grandchildren, Shane, Lincoln, Xavier, Darren, Constance, Kayleigh, Kason, Charleigh, and Khloe; and a sister Sandy Shartzer of Streator.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Noah.
