Mary Lou Gomez, 85, of Franklin, IN, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019. She was born October 10, 1934 in New Castle, IN to Elmer and Rose Cooper (Lawson). She married Gabriel Gomez on December 5, 1953 at Rocklane Church in Greenwood, IN.
Mary was a graduate of Clark High School. She loved traveling with Gabriel to warmer weather, spending time with her family, and cooking. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her sons Anthony (Betty) Gomez of Franklin and Jonathan (Terri) Gomez of Greenwood; Her sisters Dorothy (Roy) Henderson of Whiteland and Marie Cooper of Winterville, SC; Her brother Leroy Cooper (Judy) of Franklin; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, her sister Flossie (Donald) Shepherd; and a son Randall Gomez.
