Mary Lou E. Ojinaga, 80, of Santa Clara, passed away, August 30, 2022 in Silver City surrounded by her loving family.

Mary Lou was born February 9, 1942 in Santa Rita to Gustavo and Rose Esquibel.  A lifelong resident of the area she was member of the Roman Catholic Church.   Mary Lou worked at Fort Bayard Medical Center for many years, as well as at Coordinated Care as a home health care giver.  She enjoyed sports and attended many, many sporting events for years.  Mary Lou loved cooking and baking for everyone, family, friends, and neighbors; anyone who ask her to.  She was a big Bingo fan, she enjoyed playing Bingo and going to casinos. While playing Bingo, she loved to have her grandchildren help her out in the concession stand.  Mary Lou loved her music and loved dancing everywhere she could!  She just loved having a great time with everyone she could.  Mary Lou will be greatly missed.

Mary Lou is survived by daughters, Dina Jasso (Paul) of Arizona and Arlene Castañon (David) of Bayard; son, Rudy Ojinaga (Julie) of Santa Clara; brother, Richard Esquibel (Mary Ann); Sisters, Helen Carreon, Virginia Rodriguez (Benny) and Dori Jimenez all of Tucson, AZ.; six grandchildren, Chanelle Jasso (Rolando), David Castañon II (Amy), Ashley Jasso, Andrew Castañon, Shae Castillo (Sam), and Stevee Castañon (companion, Craig); 16 great-grandchildren, James Castañon, Isaiah Castañon, Niyelli Castillo, Kamryn Natera, Amiya Castañon, Maximo Castillo, Israel Valencia, Galilea Castillo, Clarity Florez, Emmanuel Castañon, Castiel Torres, Penelopi  Castillo, Weston Wicks, Zayna  Castillo, Luna Torres and Liam Jones.  Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband Tony; parents, Gustavo and Rosa Esquibel; son, Tony “BooBoo” Ojinaga, Jr., and brother, Samuel Esquibel.
