Mary Lou Devlin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, age 75, of Salem, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ at 12:20 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. She was born May 2, 1940 in Wellsville, Ohio, the daughter of the late James and Mary Louise (Paige) Clutter.
She spent her life devoted to the Lord. She worked at the former Ames Department store as the jewelry manager, and served in the community with various jobs throughout her life. But, her favorite job was being a babysitter to her grandchildren. She was a 1958 graduate of Wellsville High School. Mary Lou enjoyed her family, and many hobbies, like shopping, crafting, coloring, and buying gifts for her family and friends.
Mary Lou is survived by her devoted and loving husband, William A. Devlin of 56 years. Her son, William J. (Christina) Devlin of Salem; two grandchildren, Rebecca Devlin of Salem, and William Devlin of Salem; a great grandson, Wylen; a devoted cousin, Bobbadean (Thomas) Foreman of Salem; a brother, James Clutter of Salem.
