Mary Lou Davis, 72, of Ashland, IL, died Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Heritage Health in Beardstown.
She was born March 23, 1949, in Springfield, the daughter of Walter and Shirley Mathy Daniel. She married William Robert “Bill” Davis on March 31, 1972, in Ashland, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 2008.
She is survived by her three children, Darri Lynn Davis of Chandlerville, William Robert (Melissa) Davis, Jr. of Chandlerville, and Stefan Alan Davis of Ashland; six grandchildren, Kaylan Davis, Austin Davis, Kenneth Kennedy, Levi Kennedy, Wade Kennedy, and Corey Kennedy; and one great granddaughter, Sapphira Davis; two sisters, Marie (Mick) Keeney of Ashland, and Barb Rynders of Virginia; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.
Earlier in her life, Mary had worked at Stephenson Cleaners and Casey’s General Store in Ashland. She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed gardening and watching Westerns.
