Mary Litwin Barnes, age 96, of Berlin Center, Ohio, died on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. She was born January 11, 1916 in North Jackson, Ohio, the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Pograniczny) Litwin. Mrs. Barnes was a charter member of the Real Life Assembly of God Church in Salem, where she served as Missions Secretary-Treasurer, past president and member of the Women’s Ministries Council and as Sunday School teacher. Her husband, Emery W. Barnes, whom she married November 10, 1934, preceded her in death September 24, 1989. Three sisters, Anna Skeebo, Katherine Zents and Helen Scott; and two brothers, Joseph and John Litwin also preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Kenneth (Bette) Barnes of Massillon; a daughter, M. June Barnes of Berlin Center; a sister, Josephine Scott of Union City, California; a brother, William (Ellen) Litwin of Youngstown; 7 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren.
