Mary Louise “Witsie” (Sale) Lehn, 82, of rural Arlington, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Lehn was born September 2, 1931 in Peru to William and Mary (Meyer) Sale. She married Kenneth C. Lehn on September 16, 1950 in Ladd. She was a homemaker and farmer. Mary enjoyed cooking, reading and gardening.
She is survived by 5 sons, Ken (Linda) Lehn of Spring Valley, Jim (Gemma) Lehn of rural Princeton, Ray (Dee) Lehn of Fairfield, Iowa, Don (Diane) Lehn of Rosemount, Minnesota, and Mark (Marti) Lehn of Peru; 3 daughters, Nancy (Don) Lowry of Cherry, Ann (Jim) Mullen of Chillicothe, and Mary Ellen (Matt) Walters of Green Bay, Wisconsin; 23 grandchildren and 17great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Guenther of Peru; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Kenneth C. Lehn on March 25, 2007; and one sister, Pauline Callahan; two brothers, Walter and Raymond Sale. Honorary pallbearers will be her 23 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Peru Public Library or to the Hall Township Food Pantry.
