Salem Mary Lee Yerkey Hutson, 91,died Monday evening, October 4, 2010 , near Miletus where she made her home with her daughter, Barbara Johnson, who had lovingly cared for her in her final months. Mrs. Hutson was born January 27, 1919 on Big Flint in Doddridge County, the daughter of Laudra Nile Yerkey and Pearl Blanche Ford Yerkey. She is survived by one brother, William B. Yerkey of Big Flint. Preceding her in death was her husband, Hubert Bailey Hutson in 1983 and an infant daughter, Dixie Lee; four brothers, Raymond, Eugene, John, and Jack Yerkey; four sisters, Lecta Jackson, Madeline Hankins, Clara June Jackson, and Bonnie Curran She is survived by two grandaughters, Chantel Nicole Campbell and her husband, Sam; Chayna Lee Trent and her husband Jeremy, and two great-grandchildren, Jerod Scott Trent and Jaxon Sayre Trent, all of Salem as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was a member of Grace Baptist Chapel at Ashley where she taught Sunday School for many years. She loved the Lord and her family and was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
