Mary Toussaint LaPorta, 89, of 570 Whitney Ave., New Haven, passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 29, 2008. She was the wife of the late Michael A. LaPorta. Mrs. LaPorta was born in Worcester, MA on April 7, 1918. She was the manager of the Junior League Shop on Whitney Avenue prior to her retirement. Mrs. LaPorta was a business woman who sold elegant stationery & cards for more than 50 years. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia. We would like to express our thanks to her loving caregivers, Hazel Reid & Nicole Bibby.
