Mary Lou Thomason passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the age of 82. She was born in Soddy-Daisy, TN on March 4, 1940, the daughter of the late Virgil Dallas and Edith May (Renfro) Douglas.
Mary was a drum majorette and graduated TPS in 1959. She worked at Great Lakes Molding, VFW 7956, Cub Foods, Harding’s and Dollar Tree. Mary was active in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Otsego Moose Lodge and enjoyed camping and fishing. On March 30, 1967, she married the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Thomason Sr. They were married for 29 years, until his death in 1996.
Surviving Mary are her children, Mike (Betty Jo) Walden Sr., Gerald (Cheryl) Andrews, Richard Thomason, Jeffrey (Jill) Thomason, and Tara (Rich) Double; 9 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 4 sisters, Barb, Myra, Alma and Doris. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; sister, Barbara Jean; and great grandson Ryder Timothy Jackson.
