Mary Lucille (Nagle) Swindell, 92, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Born in Lynn, MA, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Heaslip) Nagle, she was raised in Lynn, then lived in Danvers for over sixty years. Mary graduated from Lynn English High School and worked at the General Electric in Lynn until her marriage to the late Elden P. Swindell of Danvers in 1954. After losing Elden, the love of her life, in 1969, she raised her 4 children, worked at the office of Dr. Flanagan in Danvers and later worked for Ventron/Morton-Thiokol in Danvers until she retired in 1991. She was a member of St. Richards Parish and Ladies Sodality. After retirement, she volunteered with St. Richards Parish and the Hospice of the North Shore in Danvers for many years. She had many, wonderful life-long friends and cherished her relationship with her extended Swindell family. She enjoyed travelling, reading, movies, a good joke, a glass of wine and sharing many laughs with her friends and family. Mary is survived by her children, E. Peter Swindell and his wife Elizabeth of Danvers, Neil Swindell and his wife Terri of Middleton, Carol Hoyt and her husband Robert of Westborough and Kathleen Metz and her husband Robert of North Conway NH. She is also survived by 7 grand-children, Elden P. Swindell III, Eric Swindell, Emily Swindell, Colleen (Hoyt) Evans, Meaghan Hoyt, William Metz and Lillian Metz and her first great-grandchild, Carter Rose Swindell. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Rita Swindell and her brother-in-law Ronald Locke, as well as cousins, many nieces and nephews and their children. In addition to her husband Elden and her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Richard Nagle and his wife Katherine and her grandson Chase Robert Metz.
