Mom passed away on December 23, 2017 at the age of 89. She was at the home of her son with Les and Connie at her side.

Mom was the fifth child in a family of nine children born to Howard and Maggie Sisler. She was born, raised, and educated in Emmett, Idaho. She was very proud to be a native of the Emmett valley where she lived her entire life.

She married Robert (Bob) Burlile on June 29, 1946 in a double wedding with lifelong friends, Boyd and Delpha Skoro. They spent 59 years together before Bob passed away in 2005. Mary loved her pets; she was known to many at ”the Pomeranian Lady” and raised many Pomeranian puppies. She also loved raising birds and had many singing canaries, parakeets, and cockatiels.

Her dream was to become a nurse. She began by living in the basement and working at the old Mary Secor Hospital while still in high school. She especially loved taking care of the babies. As life proceeded and family took priority, nursing was set aside, but she remained a dedicated caregiver to neighbors, family, and friends.

Mary was preceded  in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers Gene, Jay, and

Larry Sisler, her sister Marjorie Downing, infant sister Helen, and daughter-in-law Angie Burlile.

She is survived by her five children; Les (Connie) of Emmett, De and Jack (Linda) of Payette, Vicki of Tallahassee, Florida, and Ron of Star, Idaho; three sisters, June Johnson, Florence Walker, and Ann Moyer; nine grandchildren, Casey, Cody,  Tami, Kelly, Molly, Matt, Miki, Toni, Amanda and seventeen great grandchildren, plus her two loyal dogs Buddy and Taco.

Our family is eternally grateful to Heart n Home Hospice for the comfort,  peace and joy that they gave mom. A very special thank you to Julie, Kayla, Kelsey, Tracy and Beth.
