Mary Louise (Gaw) Roper, 79 of Centralia, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Centralia Fireside House. Mary was born February 27, 1935 in Galena, Kansas, daughter of Walter C. Gaw and Neva Downing Gaw.
She married Frank Allen Roper and he preceded her in death. She married Henry Reynolds November 19, 1994 in Centralia and he still survives. She is survived by two sons: Frank Roper of Jacksonville, FL and Rev. Mark Roper and wife Rev. Nancy of Texarkana, AR; a daughter, Mary Zabrauskas and husband Jerry of Fort Lauderdale, FL; six grandchildren: Zachary Roper of Jacksonville, FL, Kendra Hapke and special friend Austin of Centralia, Rebecca Roper of Oklahoma City, OK, Rachel Spieghts and husband Charlie of Texarkana, AR, Kim Roper of Centralia and Nick Brashier of Centralia; three great-grandchildren: Andrew Spieghts, Aubryn Hapke and Hayden Patton; two brothers: Walter Gaw and wife Patty of New Port Richie, FL and Keith Gaw and wife Gail of Tecumseh, MI; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank and a son, Michael Roper. Mary was a member of the First Church of God in Centralia. She was also a member of DAR. She enjoyed painting and searching for family genealogy. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
