Passed away Monday evening, May 22, 2017 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Mary was born April 11, 1931 in Hillsdale, MI the daughter of the late Ausby and Marguerite (Patterson) Lowe. She was a registered nurse and worked for various offices in the Kalamazoo area. Mary was a member of Parchment Christian Reformed Church and later was very active with the Vespers at Friendship Village.
Mary had a very strong faith which was evident in her servant heart and devotion to her family and friends. She very much enjoyed her community at Friendship Village where she was involved on various committees. Mary also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, and making items for others. On June 12, 1953 she was united in marriage to her loving husband Philip Bushhouse, who preceded her in death on November 17, 2010.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Janett Smith. Mary is survived by her children, Ruth (Bill) Wiersma, Sharon (Jon) Harrington, Joye Bushhouse; 8 grandchildren, Jay (Mindy) Holmes, Erika (Derek) Wykstra, Bree Wiersma, Michelle Harrington, Nicole (Chris) DeYoung, Pam (Glyn) Arnold, Kelly Rose, Mark (Stephanie) Harrington; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
