Mary C. “Kay” Walling, 68, of Old Bridge, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Monday, July 6, 2009. Born in Red Bank, she resided in Matawan, before moving to Old Bridge in 1962. She was employed with Con-Lux Sherwin Williams, Edison, NJ for over 20 years in the accounts payable department, retiring in 2002. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Matawan since 1953. She was a Sunday School teacher; vacation Bible School teacher; served on the Board of Christian Education; as well as serving as a superintendant of Sunday School until her death. She was the Salutatorian Class of 1958, Matawan High School; and attended Berkeley Secretarial School.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Robert Walling in 1971; and her parents, Charles “Fred” and Ruth C. Hockenbary. She is survived by two daughters, Beth Ann and her husband, Edward Stefanski of Old Bridge; and Susan Walling of Sayreville; a son, James Walling of Old Bridge; a sister, Lois Makowka of Old Bridge; twin grandchildren, Jordan Robert and Jillian Meredith; and a grandpuppy, Lola.
