M. Kathryn “Kitty” Boyce

Kitty Boyce, 93, of White Plains, Maryland passed away peacefully in her sleep January 25, 2021 at her home in White Plains.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Boyce, her son, Ed Boyce, daughter-in-law, Mary Boyce and Son-in-law, Jim Campbell.

Born in Washington DC, September 18, 1927 she was the daughter of the late J. Russell Bonner and Mary Jane Bonner.  Sister Edna Mae Edwards and husband Buck Edwards, Dorothy Blades and her husband Charlie Blades, her brother Bill Bonner and his wife Kaki Bonner.

Kitty retired in 1989 after a 40 year career with American Security Bank, now Bank of America.  She worked at the same Capital Hill branch her entire career.   She worked in customer service and personal banking.  During the days when the Capitol Hill area was being revitalized she worked with several developers and investors. She also personally worked with Roberta Flack before, during and after her rise to fame.  After retirement she truly enjoyed making ceramics.  She made Christmas Trees, Nativity Sets and so much more for the family.  She also had a love of cats.  When she’d wake up in the morning the first thing she did was call for her cat Kendra. 

Kitty will always be remembered for her strength, tenacity and strong will. She was referred to by several family members as the Energizer Bunny.

Kitty is survived by her daughter Kathy Campbell, (Charlottesville, VA), her son Russ Boyce and his Partner George Smith, (Waldorf, MD) Grandchildren Tina Washington, Brenda Curtis (Keith) Eddie Boyce (Ivette) Wayne Boyce (Michelle) Tim Campbell (Lindsay), Hillary Oppenheimer (Loren), Steve Boyce (Jennie), Chris Boyce (Katie), Mike Boyce (Erin), Tuesday Dickie (Zach) Great-Grand Children, Simon, Isla, Kora, Jaimin, Ciera, Isabella, Wayne, Jasmine, Frank, Jewel, Marcus, Victoria, Morgan, Gabby, Olivia, Victoria, Kendall, Trinity, Kristen, Kaylee, Manny, Connor, Cory and Fiona.  Great-Great Grand Children, Frankie, Adrian, Damien and Stiles. And several Niece’s and Nephew’s.
