Mary K. Fernsler, 88, of 97 Broad Street, Montgomery, formerly of Lebanon, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at home, surrounded by her family.

Mary was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Port Carbon, the Lebanon Bible Club and liked gardening, games and spending time with her family.

Born May 13, 1922 in Port Carbon, she was the daughter of George W. and Lucy R. Linderman Spiess.

Surviving are her sons, Kenneth E. Fernsler Jr. of Lock Haven, Robert S. Fernsler of Pine Grove and Jeffrey A. Fernsler of Annville; daughters, Donna J. (Craig) Kimble of Williamsport and Linda L. (William) Warfel, with whom she lived; grandchildren, Kenneth E. Fernsler III, Gloria Martin, Brenda (Dallas) Bastion, Ronald (Teresa) Fernsler, Wendy (James) Steele, Craig (Angela) Kimble, Sherri (Rich Scarantino) Splain, Mark Kimble, Stephania (Brad) Yohn, Joshua (Nikki) Warfel, Erin Fernsler and Tylor Fernsler; 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank friend Bernie Shuman for the comfort he gave Mary.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth E. Fernsler Sr. in 1984 and brothers, Charles, Joe, Robert, Harold and Albert Spiess.
