Mary June Atkinson Beecroft
June was born in 1935, in Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia, the only child of Earl Clifford Atkinson (1893-1988) and Mary Maud Anderson Atkinson (1902-1945) of Roney’s Point, West Virginia.. She attended Triadelphia Grade School, Elm Grove, and graduated from Triadelphia High School, Wheeling, West Virginia, in 1952. In June, 1955, she graduated from the Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing in Wheeling, West Virginia, as a Registered Nurse. She was employed at that hospital for a time, and later at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona.
