Mary Jensen, 89, of Harbert, Michigan, died Thursday morning, September 3, 2009. Mary was born July 13, 1920 in Chicago to Vito and Maria (Rosa) Fontanetta. She married Lambert C. Jensen Jr. on December 22, 1943 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Mary and Lambert made their home in Harbert, Michigan and owned the Harbert Swedish Bakery where they and their children worked baking wonderful pastries for many years. They enjoyed their home in Florida, and after 37 years in business, they decided it was time to retire. Mary enjoyed dancing, including tap dancing, socializing, and was an avid tennis player.

She was a member of St. Agnes Church in Sawyer, Michigan and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.

Survivors include her daughter, Diane (Jim) Bartley of St. Joseph, Michigan grandchildren Rochelle (Patrick) Clarke, Benton Harbor and Heather Fox of Chicago; great grandsons, Gavin, Myles, Liam and Hayden . She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989, her son Lambert C. Jensen III in 1996 and by her brothers, Frank Fontanetta, Joe Fontanetta, Vito Fontanetta and Jim Gannuscio.
