Mary Jeannette Cavazos, age 59, of Harlingen, Texas went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 21, 2022. She was born April 30, 1962, in San Benito, Texas to Jesus W. Cavazos and Consuelo Loya. A native of Los Indios, she lived in Harlingen most of her life. She graduated from San Benito High School and went on to receive her bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at Brownsville and her master’s degree at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg. Jeannette was a devoted teacher for San Benito CISD and Harlingen CISD for 38 years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Jeannette is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Consuelo Cavazos; and brother, Jesse Cavazos.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, her loving son, Joshua Jude Cavazos (Rebecca); grandchildren, Liam Alexander Cavazos and Kensley Lynn Cavazos; brothers, Rick Cavazos, Dr. Salvador Cavazos (Bertha), Dr. Art Cavazos (Sharon), and Dr. Marcelo Cavazos (Nora); along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, colleagues, and friends.
