Mary Jean Harman, age 92, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Sunday, February 9, 2020.
She was born November 15, 1927 in Mishawaka, Indiana the fourth child to Lowell and Helen Renner. She married David Owen Harman February 21, 1948 in South Bend, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2011.
Mary was an avid Notre Dame fan. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. After moving to Florida to live with her daughter, she cherished working along-side her daughter in her consignment shop as well as working on her fictional book. During the summers, she returned to the area to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, watching their sporting and equestrian events.
Mary will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Sandy (Art) Kizer of Englewood, Florida, Vicki (Michael) Palicki of South Bend, Indiana; grandchildren, Dawn (Paul) Williams of Cassopolis, David Hammingh Jr. of Rockford; great grandchildren, Ryan Williams of Vandalia, Rachelle Williams of Cassopolis, Logan Hammingh and Chance Hammingh, both of Rockford; and one sister, Joyce Hanson of Ocala, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers.
