Mary Jean Davidson, 85, of Virginia, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia.
She was born April 21, 1932, in Panther Creek Township, Cass County, the daughter of Glenn and Marie Anderson Reid. She married Donald “Don” Davidson on February 27, 1949, in Virginia, IL, and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2012.
She is survived by two daughters, Diane Blair (husband Darrell “Duey”) of Pleasant Plains and Donna Wood (husband, Steven) of Ashland, IL; a son, Donald Davidson, Jr. of Springfield; five grandchildren; five step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; 14 step great grandchildren; one step great – great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a grandson, and two brothers.
Mary tirelessly and devotedly served as wife, mother, homemaker and caregiver for most of her life. Her passion was gardening and being outdoors whenever she had free time. She was a former member of Foursquare Gospel Church in Springfield, IL.
