Mary “Janet” Taber, 91, of Newington passed away peacefully on October 6, 2020. Jan was born on October 25, 1928 in Hartford CT, the daughter of the late Erminia (Lena) and Ralph Bisaccia. She was predeceased by her husband Val Taber with whom she was blessed to share 62 years of marriage. Jan graduated from Bulkeley High School, Hartford, CT where she formed and retained lifelong retired from Spencer Turbine Co., Windsor Locks, CT after a long and successful career as an Executive Administrative Assistant. She was a member of the Newington Senior Club, and the Senior Center. Jan enjoyed cooking and baking and was a wonderful cook. Family time was important and spending time around the table was one of her greatest joys. She hosted many holiday parties at her home and she loved working in her garden. She kept in contact with her cousins and helped organize the Tosi reunion with her cousins and their will be deeply missed by her two sons, daughter-in-law’s, and four grandchildren; Steven and Rose, their children; Marisa and Joey of Newington; Greg and Patty, their children; Benjamin and Madison of Glastonbury. She also leaves her best friend and sister, Lillian Couto (Bisaccia), of Newington, as well as many nieces and nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Taber and her brother, Anthony Bisaccia and his wife Carole. We would like to thank Anna, her caretaker, April from Apple Rehab in Rocky Hill and the Beacon Hospice team who cared for her.
