Mary Jane Mauk, 87, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday September 15, 2016 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Mary Jane was known by her family and friends as “Mom Bear”. She was born January 14, 1929 in Terre Haute to Clifford G. Perrill and Violet Cree Perrill. She was the consummate mother and homemaker as described by her children and family. She was a graduate of Wiley High School and The Smart Appearance Beauty College and was a member of the Moose Lodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Violet Perrill, a daughter, Marsha Lee Wright who died June 26, 1977. She was also preceded by her husband’s, William R. Wright in 1985 and Paul Bennett in 1992. She is also preceded in death by two brothers; Robert Perrill and William Perrill. She is survived by her husband, Harry Mauk whom she married July 28, 1995, one daughter, Paula Poindexter and her husband John of Knox, IN. Three sons also survive; James Wright and his wife Lisa of Terre Haute, Michael Wright and his wife Jesusa of Terre Haute and David Wright and his wife Leslie of Woodstock, GA. She is survived by one step daughter, Donna McGregor and her husband David of West Terre Haute as well as twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
