Mary Jane Norland, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, 86, of Scottsdale, AZ went to be with our Lord on May 17, 2011. Mary is survived by her husband Thor, daughter Linda Romberg, son Steven Norland, all of Scottsdale, two grandsons Brian (Diana) Romberg and Justin Norland. Two sons, Lee and Jim preceded her in death. Mary was a devout Catholic, dedicated to her husband and family. She graduated from St Patrick’s High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1942 then attended Mount Mercy College where she became a registered nurse in 1946. She and Thor moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1960 where Thor founded Norland Mattress Company.
