Mary Jane McConnell Lange, 70, Alexandria, died January 14, 2007 at Community Hospital – Anderson after she lost her battle with leukemia. She was born December 6, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, and was an Alexandria resident for three years, living in Indianapolis prior to that. Mary Jane retired from Ft. Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis.
She liked keeping busy. She loved roller skating and was a participant in National skating championships in the dance category. Recently she enjoyed ballroom and square dancing. She enjoyed playing the organ and taking painting classes.
She is survived by her loving husband, David Lange whom she married February 6, 1982; three sons and a daughter, Jeff Knotts & fiancee Dee, Gary Knotts & wife Cherie, Kenny Knotts & wife Bridget and Judy Knotts; siblings, Jim McConnell & wife Verda, Tom McConnell & wife Susan, Janet Cativiela & companion Ted Blackburn and Karen Lawrence & husband Gary; eight grandchildren, Kevin, Jessie, Justin, Shae, Jennifer, Jessica, Connie and Suzanne; and several nieces and nephews. She left behind many family and friends who will remember her with a smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence & Mabel Moore McConnell and a sister, June.
