Obituary of Mary Jane Kempf-Winters
KEMPF- WINTERS, Mary Jane of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Covenant – Cooper. Age 86 years. Mary Jane Burgess was born on September 24, 1925 in Saginaw to the late Carl and Frances (Trombley) Burgess. She was married to Lawrence Winters who preceded her in death. She later married William Kempf who also preceded her in death.
Jane was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and active in The League of Catholic Women. She enjoyed baseball and was a huge Detroit Tigers fan.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy (David) Norman; two sons: Larry (Kim) Winters, David Carl Winters; five stepchildren: William (Andrea) Kempf, Jackie (Warren) Powell, Tim (Linda) Kempf, Fred Kempf, and Tom Kempf; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four sisters: Jackie (Carl) Jaenicke, Barb (Vernell) Swanton, Pat (Buzz) Miska, Sally Demers; plus many nieces and nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by a daughter, Rozann Winters, and a brother, Carl Burgess.
