Mary Jane Rhem, age 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 25, 2019. Mary was born February 23, 1928 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of John and Jeanette (Knoll) Buckhout. She was a lifelong area resident and longtime member of the Third Reformed Church (now Centerpoint). Family was a very important part of her life.
Mary was united in marriage to Jack Alvin Rhem, who preceded her in death in 1985. She was also preceded in death by a son David Rhem in 1976. Surviving are two daughters Debra (David) Rhodes and Dawn Rhem; two grandchildren Jessica Rhodes and Justin (Angie) Rhodes; and her favorite grand dog Jake. The family wishes to thank the loving caregivers Mary had from Park Village Pines and Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
