Mary J. Jackie (OConnell) Lijewski, 78, of LaSalle, passed away, Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Heritage Manor in Mendota.
Mrs. Lijewski was born November 27, 1937 in LaSalle to William and Helen (Flaherty) OConnell. She married Donald Lijewski on June 18, 1962 in LaSalle. He passed away December 28, 1984.
She was a member of St. Hyacinths Church in LaSalle. She worked as a home caregiver for the elderly. She enjoyed reading and walking.
She is survived by four children; Michael (Francesca) Lijewski of Berkeley, CA, Steven (Lorna) Lijewski of San Antonio, TX, Robert Lijewski of Mendota and Michele Lijewski of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two brothers, Terry (Marge) OConnell of Malden and Bill (Dianne) OConnell of Monroe, CT.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Robin and two sisters, Carol and Sharon.
