NORWICH, CT- Mary J. LaRochelle 70, of 126 Newton St. passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 29, 2016 at Backus Hospital. Born in Norwich, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Eva (Beebe) Murphy and was pre-deceased by her sister Carol (Murphy) Avery.
Mary was the loving wife of Kenneth LaRochelle for over 50 years. She is survived by her children: David LaRochelle of Stratford, CT, Kenny LaRochelle and his wife Vanessa of Griswold, and Edith Ouellet and her husband Tim of Norwich. Her children and family were a constant source of pride and her granddaughter Olivia Ouellet was the light of her life.
After time spent raising her children at home, Mary worked at the Norwich Ten Pin Bowling Center as a bookkeeper and a junior programs’ coach and coordinator. A few years later, Mary found the job she loved that gave her great fulfillment.
