Mary J. Coombs, 75 of Augusta, WV, formerly of Knottsville passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA. She was born April 25, 1935, in Clarksburg, WV, daughter of the late George R. and Mary C. Loar Skidmore. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Coombs on July 2, 1987; two brothers, Junior Skidmore and Joseph Skidmore. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Mary enjoyed collecting dolls and commemorative coins. She is survived by: two sons, Dwight W. Fuller and wife Lisa of Bel Air, MD, John T. Evans and wife Joan of Olney, MD; one daughter, Robin L. Melendez and husband Enrique of California; Six grandchildren, Madisyn Cassandra Melendez, Lisa Marie Patterson, Kyle Robert Evans, Joseph Michael Evans, Christopher Matthew Carroll, Michael Edward Carroll; two great grandchildren, Jordan Patterson, and Joshua Patterson; two sisters, Nina Chiado and Della Shanholtz, and several nieces and nephews.
