Mary Neel, 86, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and friend to so many, was called to her eternal resting place in Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 29, 2021. She entered this world on October 10, 1934, in Los Angeles, CA, born to Manuel and Guadalupe Salinas. Mary (AKA Betty or Maria) passed peacefully in her sleep and was finally granted her wish to “go home.”
She is survived by her loving husband Richard Neel and his 7 children and their families, her children Kim Bloomer & husband Donnie, Jimmy Watson & fiancee Roberta Armenta, Jerry Watson, Hemming E. Atterbom & wife Starlette, and Per-Hjalmar Atterbom & wife Melanie, her brothers Joe & Bobby, and her sisters Sally & Tonette, grandchildren Sonia, Taunee, Kaden, Hannah, Skyler, Sabrina, Doniven, Isaac, and Sydney, as well as great-grandchildren, Jace & Wyatt.
She was preceded in death by her parents Manuel & Guadalupe, her sisters Theresa & Marie, her brothers Manuel, Jimmy, & Johnny, her daughter Paula, and her grandson Chase. What a celebration it will be when they all greet her in Heaven!
Mary was loved and adored by all those fortunate enough to know her. She was so exuberant and full of life, and rarely filtered her words! She was the life of any party and brought joy to every room she entered. She made this world a better place, and will be missed terribly by her family, friends, and all of her loved ones.
