Mary Irene Groskloss, 95, passed away February 6, 2022. She was surrounded by her four daughters, Linda Lanteigne, Janet Perez, Marie Pereira DaCunha and Joanna Lopez. Mary was born on December 8, 1926 in Baltimore, MD. She was the second daughter of Constantine and Semela Prodromos. Her parents were Greek immigrants that came to Baltimore and opened a successful restaurant. Mary had an older sister named Helen. Mary was married to Dr. Howard Hoffman Groskloss, a well- known Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Miami who served his patients for many years until he retired. That was when they enjoyed their retirement years in Central Florida until his passing in 2006. During her years in Vero Beach, she volunteered at the Tambourine, which raised funds for over 35 charitable agencies in Indian River County helping women, children and families. Mary was loved by her 4 daughters, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She doted on her family while making them Greek dishes and pastries. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her plants. But most of all, her beautiful smiles, grace and elegance lit up any room she entered. Mary had a long happy life and will be deeply missed by her entire family. May her glow continue to shine in Heaven.
