Mary Hyler Brown, 79, of 5071 Lewis Brown Rd., Bennett, died Thursday, January 4, 2018 at her residence.
Mary was a native of Alamance County, formerly employed as a cashier with Quik Chek and a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Lee Brown, parents, Arthur and Nora Clark Hyler, brother, Cecil Hyler, and sisters, Faye Henley, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Woodell.
Survivors: daughters, Vickie Jones, and husband, Duane, of Ramseur, Sherry Laughlin, of Asheboro, son, James Lee Brown, of Troy, sister, Barbara Smith, of Franklinville, brother, Bobby Hyler, of Liberty, grandchildren, Lisa Phillips (who grandparents raised), and husband, Jason, of Bennett, Jennifer Jones, of Troy, Jonathan Jones, of Bennett, Michael Laughlin, of Asheboro, Zachary Brown, of Snow Camp, Bradley Brown and Joshua Brown, of Burlington, great-grandchildren, Cameron, Natalee, Charlise, Matthew Phillips, sister in-law, Bettty Sue Hyler, of Asheboro.
