Mary Helen Riley, 81, Anderson, died February 23, 2007 at her residence. She was born March 18, 1925 in Kansas City, Kansas, and resided in Anderson all of her life. She retired in 1980 as a claim approval specialist from Inland Fisher Guide Division of General Motors after many years of service.
She was a 1943 Anderson High School graduate. Mary Helen was a member of Central Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star #154 and a Home Ec Club where she sang in the Mal-Del Choir. She was an honorary member of Victoria Guild at St. John’s Health System and also served as a Pink Lady at the hospital. She was a member of the Indy Boat Club, Power Squadron & Anderson Boat Club. Mary loved to fish, boat, travel and she loved her dog, Gretel III.
She is survived by her two nieces: Victoria Lee Riley-Alkove of Anderson and Lynne Ann Riley-Barker of Goshen. Two nephews: Michael David Riley of Crossville, Tennessee and George Clay Riley of Kansas City, Kansas. Several great nieces, nephews and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Clay & Mary Jeanette Biddle Riley. Two brothers: Karl B. Riley in 1980 and John R. Riley in 1979. Sister: Betty J. Riley in 2001. Niece: Karlene K. Riley-Holmes in 1998. Sister-in-law: Virginia Keller-Riley in 2006.
