During the great depression her mother moved the family to San Diego, California so her children could have a better life. Mary attended Sherman and Stockton Elementary schools. Then Memorial Junior High and graduating from San Diego High School.
Mary met and married the love of her life Jeremiah Harvey. To their happy union two sons were born, Stanley and Le’Jon. Nephew Clarence and adopted son Jabar also rounded-out the family.
Other important life events included fashion modeling, which she was formally trained in, bowling, fishing and cooking.
Mary’s husband Jeremiah passed away after 32 years of marriage. As well, Mother, Father and brothers J.A., Richard and sister Katie all preceded Mary’s passing.
Survivors: sons, Stanley, Sr., Le’Jon, Jabar and Clarence. Sisters: Brenda, Pearl, Ruby, Rita and Mary K. Brothers: Eddie, Charles, Roy and Gene. Six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Aunt Iola Jackson, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Harvey family.
Mary Helen is profoundly missed by everyone.
