Mrs. Robinson died April 6, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Mary Gladys Robinson was born August 5, 1942, in Utica, Mississippi to the late R. W. and Katherine Burns.
She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age at Miller Spring M. B. Church in Crystal Spring, Mississippi. She was also a member of Christan Valley Church on North Chicago, IL. When she later relocated so Somerville, AL with her family, she became a member of Mt. Hope M.B. Church. Gladys was the Church Secretary for many years. After a lengthy illness, Gladys was called home to rest on April 6, 2015.
Gladys was a dedicated worker at Cherry Electric Company as a machine operator in the late 70’s.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Henry Robinson.
Gladys leaves to cherish her memory: a daughter, Felisha Denise (James) Evans of Decatur; son, Calvin D. Robinson; two grandchildren, Jelisha and James Elijah of Decatur; sisters, Doris (Freddie) Love of Hollandale, MS, Gene (Frank) Hardy of Jackson, MS, and Myrtis (Bobby) Perry of Waukegan, IL ; brothers, R. W. (Ethel) Burns Jr. of Chicago, IL, Japhes (Nadine) Burns of Waukegan, IL, L A (JoAnne) Burns of Beach Park, IL; three sisters-in-law, Katherine Bibb, Dell Moore and Judy Hullett; brothers-in-law, Curtis Robinson (Martha), Donnie Cowley, and The Rev. Mitchell Cowley (Accessery); of Jackson, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
