Mary Francis Vargas, 56, of Boerne, passed into eternity on September 23, 2018.
Mary Francis Vargas was born on February 16, 1962 to Emilio and Dolores (Alvarez) Vargas in San Angelo, Texas. Mary lived in San Angelo, Glen Rose, and Wylie, Texas and moved to Boerne in 1978. Mary was most proud of her son John and her daughter Amanda (Mandy). She knew that they were the best things that ever happened to her. Mary had so many wonderful friends. She also loved and adored her cats Reina and Fina. Mary loved her fur-babies with her whole heart. Mary was an avid reader, enjoyed coloring with her grandchildren, reading poems and she loved watching classic movies and old TV shows. Mary had a very unusual sense of humor that could make you blush.
Mary is survived by her son John Hernandez and his wife, Lupita; her daughter, Amanda Hernandez and her partner, Jacqualyn; her brother, John Cantu and his wife, Gloria; her sisters, Elsa Guerrero and Betty Cantu; her grandchildren, Victoria, Isabella, Cecilia, Armando, Kayden and Yende; her great-grandchild, Emilio; her nephews, Michael Cantu, John Guerrero, Steve Guerrero, and Frankie Cantu and his wife Crystal; her nieces, Alicia Guerrero, Marisol Vargas, and Veronica Tamez and her husband, Steven; her great-niece Ayden; her great-nephews, Vincent and Jacob; her aunt, Gloria Salinas; and numerous friends all of whom loved and will miss her dearly.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Emilio and Dolores Vargas; her brother, Frank Cantu; and her nephew, Daniel Cantu.
