Mary Francis Pittman, February 26, 2018.

Mrs. Mary Francis Pittman, 95, of Belton, TX went to her real home to be with her Lord on February 26, 2018. She passed away at her residence.

She was born April 23, 1922 in Tishomingo, Mississippi, to William David Twitty and Beulah Hill Twitty. She married Navy Lieutenant, Jack Lloyd Pittman in Redondo Beach, California on January 17, 1945. They shared 70 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2015. She counted some of her greatest accomplishments as working as a riveter, and inspector at McDonald Douglas, and then as a draftsperson at California Ship Yards during World War II; founding Pittman’s Cleaners with her husband in 1946; graduating from Mary Hardin-Baylor College in 1962 while raising three children, and working part-time at the cleaners. She lived a full long life. She and her husband traveled the world but always loved coming back to Belton, serving the city and its citizens, the Belton Independent School District and blessed with many friends.

She is survived by her three children, James Lee Pittman, Peggy Timbrook, and Mark E. Pittman, all of Belton; five grandchildren and, four great grandchildren.
