Mary Frances Hines, 81 of Grafton passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 at United Health Center in Clarksburg. She was born January 22, 1938 in Miamisburg, OH, a daughter of the late Leslie and Ruth Roe Spivey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Immanuel J. “Joe” Hines, March 22, 2008.

Mary retired from the Taylor County Board of Education as a teacher for many years. She was a faithful member of the Blueville United Methodist Church where she played the piano, and she belonged to the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the friendship Star Quilting guild, Taylor County Association of Retired School Employees and the CEOS- Webster.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Immanuel J. “Joe” and Mary Hines, Jr. of Grafton, David F. and Melissa Hines, of Ridgely, WV, three daughters and sons-in-law; Elizabeth and Mark Houlette of Chester Springs, PA, Deborah and Daniel McNulty of Lakeville, MN, Joan and Michael King of Fairmont,  ten grandchildren; Will, Sam and MaryPat Houlette, Catherine and Emily Hines, Bailey and Taylor  McNulty, Susan, Leslie and Joshua King, several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step great great grandchildren, one brother, Gary Spivey and wife Connie, Dayton, OH, one nephew, Michael Spivey and Nikki, Columbus, OH  and a great niece and a great nephew; and numerous nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded death by one brother, Robert Spivey.
