Mrs. Mary Frances Mathis, age 72, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017, at the Diversicare of Lanett Nursing Home.
Mrs. Mathis is survived by her two sons, Kenneth C. (Wanda) Mathis of West Point, GA and Steven D. (Becky) Mathis of Lanett, AL; her five grandchildren, Tiffany Duffee, Jamie Mathis, Nathan Farrow, Beth Mathis, and Stephen Mathis; three great grandchilds, Allen Mathis, Cadyn Duffee and Emmaleigh Duffee; her brother in law, James (Glenda) Pitts; her devoted cousin, Lewis Gooden; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Mathis was preceded in death by her husband, Willie David Mathis.
Mrs. Mathis was born on January 6, 1945 in Lanett, Alabama to the late Henry and Daisy Lauderdale. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a very loving and family oriented mother, grandmother, and mother in law. She enjoyed shopping and reading.
