Mary McNutt Ledbetter, age 76, of Eight Mile, Alabama gracefully exited her earthly body on October 22nd, 2018 at 7:20pm, surrounded by and being comforted by her children at Covenant Care Hospice, Providence Hospital. Her recent battle with cancer caused her many days of discomfort but she did not let it define nor defeat her. Complications from her symptoms caused her to be hospitalized with aspiration pneumonia and her condition suddenly worsened.
Mary was born April 25th, 1942 to Charles and Dora Mae McNutt. She married her husband, Claude Allen Ledbetter on August 7th, 1959 and they shared 56 years of marital bliss and four children. Randy Ledbetter of Stockton, Rhonda (Michael) Templeton of Mobile, Robin (Ray) Neslony of Stockton, and Regina (Chris) Coaker of Orange Beach.
They have seven grandchildren, Kayla, Kristie, Constance, Josh, Ryan, Raegan and Olivia, and seven great grand children Beaux, Satcher, Porter, Ben, Crystal, Blaine, and Bennett.
Proceeded in death by her husband of 56 years, Claude Allen Ledbetter, her grandson Ryan Evan Neslony, her parents Charles and Dora McNutt and sister Willie Ann Allen.
Survived by siblings, Billie (Bennie Frank) Sealy, Sonny Pace, Paulette (George) German, Annie Corbitt, Bonnie Morris, Marshall McNutt, Donald McNutt and Johnny (Charlotte) McNutt.
She is also survived by her sisters in love, Bertie Burt, Frances Ledbetter and Ida Ledbetter as well as many other beloved family members, special friends, and a loving church family.
