Mary Frances Riley Franklin 93, of Manassas died September 9, 2016, in Fort Mill, SC. Proceeded in death by her parents, Henry F. Riley and Lucy Breeden Riley both of Manassas, Virginia. She was a member of St. John Methodist Church and Red Hat Society of Fort Mill, SC. Before moving to SC, she was a member of the Manassas Brethren Church, the Catharpin Homemakers, the Prince William School Food Service, Divine Dinner Club, and Park West Lioness. She graduated from the Institute of Banking as a bank analyst in California, and she received her associates’ degree as an Institutional Food Manager from Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale. She retired from Prince William School Food Service after 22 years service. She was a talented artist and world traveler. She is survived by her husband, D W “Don” Franklin, five children, Sondra Dudley of Algonac, MI, Medford “Bud” Beach of Philippines, Richard Franklin of Virginia Beach, VA, Joni Sparks of Fort Mill, SC, and Robert Franklin of Ashburn, VA. She has 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
