Mary Frances Doolittle, age 75, went home to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 24, 2014, with her family by her side. She passed away peacefully, after a long struggle with colon cancer.
Mary Frances was born in Mobile, AL on April 4, 1939 to Bernard and Ophelia Seymour and graduated from Bishop Toolen High School in 1957. In Mobile, she met and married Robert (Bob) Doolittle on May 18, 1962 and after several moves, the couple has resided in Destin, FL since 1979.
She is survived by her husband of almost 52 years, Robert (Bob) Doolittle, sons: Paul and Alan of Destin, FL, Jimmy (Terri) of Virginia Beach, VA; and grandchildren: Corinthya and Zachary; sisters: Dottie Quackenbush, Carol Little, and brother, Bernie (Phyllis) Seymour, all from Mobile, and sister, Condy James of NJ, numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful doctors (Drs. Ming Chang, Harvey Hsiang, Henry Hsiang, and Jamie Braden) and the loving nurses and staff of the Emerald Coast Cancer Center who provided Mary with expert, compassionate care and treatment for over three years. Also, we would like to thank the Covenant Hospice Care who comforted and cared for Mary at home for the last months of her beautiful, loving life.
