Mary Frances Daylor (nee Winters), 81, of Lebanon, IL, joined her Lord and Savior on December 22, 2021. She was surrounded by her family as she passed peacefully at her home. Mary Frances was born October 22, 1940, in Harrisburg, PA. During her life she touched many people with her humble care and compassion. From the students at McKendree University, where she was the Director of Health Services for 30 years, to her friends and fellow parishioners at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and a dedicated servant in the church’s health ministry.

She was honored with the Health Educator Emerita in 2011 from McKendree University; devoted countless volunteer hours to many non-profit organizations, especially with Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob; was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society; as well as a member of the Mid-America College Health Association. Complementing her service to others, Mary Frances was a nurse in good standing for more than 50 years.

She was a devoted mother and supportive military wife when her husband, Lt. Colonel Joseph E. Daylor (retired), served honorably in the U.S. Air Force for more than two decades, including tours in Vietnam.Affectionately known as “Mop Mop” to her grandchildren, she was always there to offer comfort, guidance, and sometimes, real-life lessons. She will always be remembered as an example of love, nurturing spirit, wisdom and strength for her husband, children, grandchildren and dear friends.Mary Frances was preceded in death by her parents Francis X. and Eleanor Margaret Winters (nee Bolen), and one sister, Sister Catherine Mary Winters.

Mary Frances is survived by her beloved husband Joseph “Joe” Daylor of Lebanon, IL; three children Joe(y) (Toni) Daylor of Littleton, CO, Colleen (Charlie) Davis of Edmond, OK, and Andrew (Dawn) Daylor of Oswego, IL; one sister, Jean Marie Scribbick of Sacramento, CA; eleven grandchildren: Megan Daylor, Ryan Daylor, Shelby Daylor, Philip Davis, Nicholas Davis, Adrianna Caringella, Gabrielle Daylor, Olivia Daylor, Jackson Daylor, Jacob Daylor, and Joshua Daylor; one great-grandchild Santino Caringella; and many nieces and nephews.
