Mary Frances Bucksot, age 96 of Roselawn, passed away at Aperion Care Center on Sunday, September 2, 2018. She was born on June 20, 1922 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Harrison and Elizabeth VanGundy, both deceased.
Mary was a clerk/typist for the State of Indiana Lake Department of Family & Children Services, from which she retired. She was a member of St. Margaret-Mary Catholic Church in Hammond, Indiana. Mary was baptized in the Catholic Faith in Chicago, Illinois in June 1922. She was an avid reader, enjoyed BINGO, watching the Andy Griffith show, and her kitties.
Mary is survived by her children: Richard Bucksot of Tampa, FL; Carolyn (Dave) Ruddach of DeMotte, IN; 7 grandchildren: Larry, Dwayne, Jerilyn, Jodette, Elizabeth, Shae, and Nathan; many great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, son: Ronald Van Gundy, daughter: June Withrow, grandson: David E. Hebda, great-grandchild: David J. Hebda, sister: Margaret Hewlitt, and brother: Conroy Van Gundy.
