Mary Francene Edwards, born July 20, 1949, in Roseboro, North Carolina. The daughter of James M. Edwards and Mary F. Edwards, Francene attended Sampson Technical Community College upon graduation from high school. She worked as a dispatcher for the Sampson County Sheriff’s Department in the early 80’s. Francene loved music and enjoyed the outdoors. Fishing was one of her greatest pleasures, though she would often joke she never caught anything.
Francene was proceeded in death by her parents and her brother, Martin Edwards, of Roseboro. She would ask you all not to cry too much, because that was her way. She loved going out of her way for you, but she hated being fussed over.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories: She has one daughter, Mara Sizemore, son-in-law William Sizemore Grandson Joshua Sizemore, of Medina, Ohio. Francene spent the last eight years of her life happy and in loved with Robert Sweat.
