Mary Faye Davin, 91 years, of Ashland, IL died May 31, 2007 at the Walker Nursing Home in Virginia, IL.
She was born December 2, 1915 in Ashland, IL; the daughter of Thornton G. and Clara Rachel Hayes Evans. She married Thomas Francis Davin on July 16, 1960 in Springfield, IL and he preceded in death on June 12, 1986.
She is survived by a sister-In-Law, Luella Davin of Pleansant Plains; two nephews, Pat Davin of Pleasant Plains and Mike Davin of Springfield; two nieces, Mary Lu Hinkle of Riverton and Sue Davin of Springfield; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Edward M. Evans and Thornton Evans Jr..
Mrs. Davin was employed over 29 years for the Illinois Department of Transportation in Springfield. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church in Springfield where she taught Sunday School for many years. More recently, she attended Ashland United Methodist Church.
